El 14 de enero se celebraron los Critics Choice Awards 2024, los premios que otorga la crítica a lo mejor del pasado año en cine y televisión y no era de esperar que el fenómeno Barbenheimer ha vuelto arrasar. Oppenheimer de Christopher Nolan se ha alzado con 8 galardones y Barbie lo ha hecho con 6. En los apartados interpretativos, Los que se quedan, la última película de Alexander Payne, ha conseguido el premio a Mejor actor para Paul Giamatti y Mejor actriz de reparto para Da’Vine Joy Randolph. En cuanto a Mejor actriz, el premio ha ido a parar a Emma Stone por su papel en Pobres criaturas del director griego Yorgos Lanthimos, y el premio a Mejor actor de reparto ha sido para Robert Downey Jr. por Oppenheimer.
En el apartado de series, la santa trinidad formada por Succession, The Bear y Bronca sigue imparable cosechando premios allá por donde van. Succession se ha hecho con los premios de Mejor serie dramática, Mejor actor, Mejor actriz en Drama. La serie The Bear con los premios Mejor serie cómica, Mejor actor, Mejor actriz y Mejor actor de reparto en comedia. Y la miniserie Bronca con los premios de Mejor miniserie, Mejor actor, Mejor actriz y Mejor actriz de reparto.
