Este mes, teníamos la novedad de hacer dos listas a la vez, y no podríamos haberlo hecho con más éxito. Con 215 votaciones, ésta ha sido la lista con más éxito hasta la fecha. Algo que nos ha permitido hacer además una lista mucho más completa, de 100 películas, dónde se ha visto gran diversidad entre todas las propuestas. Por si fuera poco, vuestro seguimiento en Twitter, ha hecho que por primera vez desde que empezamos a confeccionar listas, hayamos conseguido ser el tema más hablado en España. Algo que nos ha llevado a realizar dos anuncios, el primero, que en Septiembre realizaremos la lista con las mejores películas de los 90. El segundo, la apertura del foro Filmmania, donde esperamos veros con frecuencia. Debemos agradecer a los compañeros de World Cinema 7 por ayudarnos a preparar el post, ya que un trabajo tan laborioso, no habría sido posible sin su ayuda.

El entusiasmo que despierta Mulholland Drive de David Lynch, han sido decisivos para su victoria. De los 329 puntos recibidos, más de la mitad, 180 le han llegado procedentes de los diez dieces que recibió. Aún así, todo ha quedado en un pañuelo, Mystic River se hizo con la segunda posición con 314 puntos, tan solo 4 más que la tercera clasificada, El caballero Oscuro. También ¡Olvídate de Mí! Pasó el umbral de los 300 puntos.
La parte alta de la tabla son todas películas que gustan, y mucho, de hecho, las 9 siguientes películas pasaron los 200 puntos y las 33 primeras clasificadas están por encima de los 100 puntos. Este reparto de puntos ha propiciado también que haya habido numerosos empates, especialmente en la parte baja, donde la mínima puntuación para que una película entrase en la lista, estaba en los 25 puntos.
Fueron precisamente 25 puntos también los que tuvo Battle Royale, que fue la primera de las películas que se quedó fuera. Tampoco muy lejos quedaron Casa de Arena y Niebla, Gangs of New York, Amanecer de los Muertos, Zombies Party, Las dos Torres, Plan Oculto La Mala Educación, Enter the Void, Los Renegados del Diablo y Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal.
En cuanto a nombres, Nolan, Eastwood y Tarantino han sido los que más películas han metido en la lista, con cuatro películas cada uno. Les siguen Michael Haneke y Alejandro González Iñarritu con 3 películas cada uno.
En cuanto a años, ha estado muy igualado, 2005, con 7 películas, ha sido el año que menos películas ha metido en la lista. 2001 y 2003 con 13 películas los que más.
Un total de 422 películas han recibido algún voto, aunque muchos de ellos han sido votos invalidados, destaca especialmente el caso de Origen, que con 44 puntos, habría entrado en la lista, pero que al ser una película de 2010, no era seleccionable. Han sido tres las producciones para televisión que han entrado, Saraband, La Mejor Juventud y Hermanos de Sangre, aunque no han sido las únicas votadas, también Ángeles en América recibió votos.
