El pasado domingo 13 de marzo se celebraron los Critics Choice Awards donde no hubo ninguna sorpresa y se cumplió lo establecido. El poder del perro se alzó con los premios de Mejor película y Mejor director después de ganarlo también en los Premios BAFTA, al igual que Will Smith por el premio a Mejor actor por El método Williams.
En Mejor actriz, Jessica Chastain fue la galardonada por su papel en Los ojos de Tammy Faye, una película que si bien no ha conseguido el beneplácito de la crítica y del público pero sí han podido destacar la interpretación de Chastain por encima del maquillaje.
En cuanto a series, tampoco ha habido sorpresas siendo una copia a los galardonados en los Globos de Oro, siendo Succession, Dopesick, El juego del calamar, Ted Lasso y Mare of Easttown las grandes ganadoras.
