El 7 de febrero se celebraron los Critics Choice Awards 2025, los premios que otorga la crítica a lo mejor del pasado año en cine y televisión y ha saltado la sorpresa con Anora, que se ha alzado con el premio a Mejor Película por delante de The Brutalist. Lo mismo ha pasado en Mejor dirección que ha sido para John M. Chu por Wicked, que no se encuentra nominado para la próxima gala de los Oscars. En los apartados interpretativos, The Brutalist, la última película de Brady Corbet, ha conseguido el premio a Mejor actor para Adrien Brody. En cuanto a Mejor actriz, el premio ha ido a parar a Demi Moore por su papel en La sustancia, Mejor actor de reparto ha sido para Kieran Culkin por A Real Pain y Mejor actriz de reparto para Zoe Saldaña por su papel en Emlia Pérez, que pese a la polémica de Karla Sofía Gascón, ha cosechado otros dos premios, Mejor película extranjera y Mejor canción.
