Noche de cine, noche de estrellas, noche de regresos, porque los Globos de Oro volvieron a la televisión tras la polémica del pasado año y esta vez han sido «algo» inclusivos y más previsibles tirando hacia lo seguro. Almas en pena de Inisherin y The Fabelmans fueron las grandes vencedores en el apartado de cine como Mejor película de comedia y Mejor película en drama.
No ha sido el único premio de The Fabelmans, porque Steven Spielberg consiguió también el premio a Mejor director. Y que decir de Todo a la vez en todas partes, la cinta dirigida por Los Daniels ha sido galardona con 2 premios, Mejor actriz en comedia para Michelle Yeoh y Mejor actor de reparto para Ke Huy Quan, el incansable Tapón de Indiana Jones.
En la categoría de actores principales, Mejor actor en drama ha sido para Colin Farrell por Almas en pena de Inisherin y Mejor actor en comedia o musical para Austin Butler por Elvis. Cate Blanchett sigue cosechando gran éxito por su papel en Tár con el premio a Mejor actriz de drama y Angela Basset fue elegida como Mejor actriz de reparto por Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Una de las grandes sorpresas agradables de la noche fue para RRR, consiguiendo el premio a Mejor canción original por su Naatu Naatu.
En cuanto al apartado de series, La casa del dragón fue elegida mejor serie dramática, Colegio Abbott como mejor serie cómica y White Lotus a la mejor miniserie o serie limitada. En cuanto a categoría de actores, Mejor actriz ha sido para Zendaya por Euphoria y Mejor actor para Kevin Costner por Yellowstone y en comedia Mejor actor para Jeremy Allen White por su papel en The Bear y Mejor actriz para Quinta Brunson por Colegio Abbott. En la categoría de miniserie o tv-movie, los premios han ido a parar para Evan Peters por Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story y Amanda Seyfried por The Dropout.
